This is an important time in your life as you consider a sacred place to celebrate your wedding. We want to share with you some information to help in your decision-making. Our worship space seats 160 people. We would expect that you would use our minister and music director although there can be exceptions. You will be encouraged to participate in a marriage preparation event offered in the GTA. The planning of the worship service will be done in conjunction with the minister and the music director. There is an element of flexibility in what is included in the service of marriage. We welcome all interested couples, start by calling our Administrative Assistant at 905 843-1035 and book an appointment with the minister.

We are very pleased that you are interested in having your child baptized at Mayfield United Church. Children are a great gift to families and are an important part of God’s family. Here at Mayfield we value an inclusive church where all ages are welcomed and recognized as being God’s children. The celebration of Baptism is a Sacrament in the United Church of Canada.
Gathered around the baptismal font we experience the love and grace of God who has made each of us in God’s own image. Baptism is the Sacrament of Belonging. We place this child in God’s hands and we seek with our child to enter into God’s ministry by living out our baptism amongst the gathered community here at Mayfield. Our hope and prayer is that you and your child will enter into the life and work of this congregation, gathering for worship and sharing your gifts. We have a Nursery and Sunday School for children.
The process begins by calling our Administrative Assistant at 905 843-1035 and booking a time to meet with the Minister. There will be an opportunity to meet with others who are planning to have their child baptized as a way of having conversation about this commitment. The date and time for the baptism will be decided in conversation with the minister. Baptism is celebrated during the Sunday morning worship service at 10:15 am. While infant and child baptisms are the most common, we welcome and encourage persons of all ages to talk with us if they are interested in learning more about baptism and membership in the family of God.
